Add Toread to your Home Screen

No App Store, no download. Add it from your browser in under a minute and Toread opens like any other app.

  • Opens full screen
  • Sits with your other apps
  • Starts on its launch screen
  • Can notify you when something new arrives

Notifications on iPhone need iOS 16.4 or later.

Five steps in Safari

If it doesn't look right

  • It opens in Safari, with the address bar

    Open as Web App was off when you added it. Touch and hold the icon, tap Delete Bookmark, then add it again.

  • The launch screen is blank

    Reload this page in Safari, then add it again. A tab that's been open a while can have an old copy.

  • You don't see Add to Home Screen

    In the Share sheet, tap View More and scroll to the bottom.

  • You came here from Instagram, Gmail or another app

    Those apps use a built-in browser that can't add to your Home Screen. Open toread.app in Safari and start again.

Done? Open Toread from your Home Screen.

From now on, that icon is the quickest way back to your reading.
